The Upper Room

THE UPPER ROOM is our young adult ministry.

We are 20-40 somethings, mostly single, with a few married folks.

We are a group of friends who have fun and gather weekly for fellowship over the word. We support one another through prayer.  Even more than that, we do life together, gathering for weekly lunch and monthly feasts. For more info, please email pastortweets[@]gmail.com.

September 10th – 12PM Picnic at Orchard Hill Park

October 21 – 6PM BBQ/Bonfire at Tim’s

Nov 18 – 6PM BBQ/Bonfire at Tim’s

Dec 31st – 7PM New Year’s Eve Party, Location TBD.

One of our group values is LEARNING.  In order to become better students of the Word we are spending time the Word in three ways this semester:

1) Personal study.  In order to really begin to hear from God, we need to hear from his Story for ourselves.  We take time during the week to read the bible for ourselves.

2) Group study. Sunday Mornings (11 AM) we take time to catch up with one another, sharing in each others’ lives, and process a passage of scripture together.  This semester we will go through Genesis 12-24.  This is the time to observe the text together, ask hard questions and share how it applies to our lives. This is a lot of fun to do together!

3) Listen to a Sermon. Sunday mornings (9:30 AM), the following Sunday.  For the invested student, it pays to hear a professor give a researched presentation on the passage.  That is what our Sunday worship gathering does.  after singing a few songs, a pastor will speak on the passage.
